Can more environmental education and awareness assist with the abatement of these local activities. Can I find common ground and can I maintain it to the benefit of my family, our community and our environment. Bridge2Bridge – in this incidence there is great possibility to build Community Spirit and community cohesion if a few households within each Bridge2Bridge (footbridge) block forms a local street committee to mobilise neighbours and schoolkids to clean and maintain our immediate watercourses. This could be done icw with adjacent Bridge2Bridge street committees, local Ward Councillors, Local Conservation Authorities, Local Community Organisations and other invested local parties. This could be an environmental precursor to planting your Bridge2Bridge rivercourse area with trees and other indigenous plants.
